And, most importantly, you’ll share in our pride and purpose that affects the lives of millions around the world.The High Pressure Turbine (HPT) Module design team is responsible for the design and operation of the HPT Module for the LM2500/LM6000/LMS100 Aeroderivative Engines. The team is made up of US individuals support the design of the HPT airfoils along with global teams supporting non-flowpath hardware. The LM6000 Design Team Lead will focus on the LM6000 product providing leadership to the team in assessing HPT component durability. The Design Team leader will also advance design improvements aligned with customer requirements and upgraded engine introductions throughout the HPT module.As the LM6000 HPT Design Team Lead, you will play a key role in supporting and leading projects focused on improving component durability. You will need to implement lessons learned from other programs (including flight side), engine testing and fielded hardware experience findings into the next iteration of the component design. Other responsibilities for this role will include supporting component delivery efforts, assisting engine test assemblies, customer fleet support, and addressing durability challenges. The Design Team Lead will also help guide resources focusing on the overall HPT module health along with occasional component level design support on LMS100 and LM2500 engine platforms.This position has the flexibility of optional hybrid schedule once fully trained. The hybrid schedule consists of working in the office minimum of 3 days per week and the option to work from home on the other days, based on team/project schedules.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or thermal engineering for all products
- Provide technical guidance/leadership of cross-functional teams towards the design, analysis and evaluation of the HPT modult components using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Ability to work with internal and external customers to advance project/program schedule.
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Will lead projects withing HPT module and product design. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Develop and communicate work scope approach for HPT component and help develop Module level items, track budget and schedule of tasks and develop/implement action plans to respond to and provide effective problem solving.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related STEM field from an accredited university
- Minimum of 5 years relevant design engineering experience
Desired Characteristics

- Demonstrated ability to analyze & solve technical design challenges with sound documentation, planning, & program management skills.
- Experience with finite element analysis software such as ANSYS and 3D modelling software such as NX Unigraphics.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs with established project management skills.
- Lead initiatives with scope consisting of cross functional teams
- Experience with communicating with external facing customers
- Previous experience in design and manufacturing of Aerospace components, specifically HPT Module/Components.
