First Citizens Bank hiring for Senior Financial Analyst - ALM Strategies and Analytics (Hybrid) jobs in Wake Forest, NC, US
Overview:
The senior level analyst will support the ALM Strategies and Analytics team to identify, communicate and manage the interest rate risk embedded in current and forecasted business activities. Use quantitative approaches and innovative solutions to inform decision making in hedging strategies, balance sheet optimization, funding and investment allocation, and business unit product strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scenarios and analytics to understand and monitor the sources of interest rate risk in current and forecasted business activities
- Assess risk appetite and calibrate tolerance levels using quantitative approaches, document and maintain governance around them as part of limit setting framework
- Propose risk management strategies considering the bank’s overall risk profile including capital, liquidity, credit and other considerations from accounting and market perspectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective risk management strategies
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and research market trends and regulatory changes impacting ALM decisions
- Conceptualize, devise, implement and document quantitative solutions as part of ALM strategy initiatives and analytical developments to aide strategic and tactical decision making
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of ALM policies and procedures as applicable
- Interface with regulatory bodies and auditors as needed
- Prepare reports to Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and Senior Management Team
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Finance or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Finance or Analytics
Other preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 6 years of experience in ALM, finance, or risk management
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analytical tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to ALM and financial institutions
- Experience using QRM or a similar risk management system strongly preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) a plus
