This is a remote role, with the expectation of occasional corporate office visits. Preferance for candidate to be located in Raleigh.

This is a risk role is within the Consumer Services Business Unit (BU), where the primary objective is to develop and enhance consumer products and digital channels.
Responsibilities:This position is responsible for consulting with, educating and supporting the BU on the execution of the first line risk programs, promoting an environment of risk awareness and risk ownership across the BU while adhering to the Company’s Risk Appetite and Corporate Strategy. Ensures timely identification and escalation of risks and issues and consults with BU surrounding key risk management issues to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of risk programs. Manages adherence to 2nd Line Programs including, but not limited to Risk Control Self-Assessment, First Line Control Testing, Procedure Documentation, Regulatory Change Management, Operational Risk Event Reporting, Key Indicator reporting, New Products and Services, etc. Supports risk maturity in a growing organization, coordinating 2nd and 3rd Line exams, consulting Product Owners on risk requirements, managing multiple workstreams, and creating regular risk reports.
This position requires an understanding of enterprise risk management requirements in a Large Financial Institution and the ability to support the BU in meeting those requirements. Requires a critical thinker who can proactively identify next steps, collaborate across 3 lines of defense and cross-functional teams, manage short and long term initiatives, and adjust to evolving environments

Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience in risk/audit related roles or High School Diploma/GED with 7-10 years of experience in risk related roles.
