Overview:
This position will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank's enterprise change oversight framework. This role will coordinate with various First and Second Line functions to ensure compliance with standards and procedures for risk assessment, challenge, approval, monitoring, and reporting of program activities. This role will be responsible for coordinating change initiative risk assessment and oversight activities within the enterprise change oversight framework, with a focus on supporting and assisting senior associates. This role requires a high level of interaction with business units and associates at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Collaborates with stakeholders to support risk identification and assessment of qualifying change initiatives.
- Assists in the review and guidance for the identification and assessment of operational risk exposures.
- Participates in advisory reviews and helps establish expectations to ensure alignment with the Bank's Risk Appetite.
- Assists in identifying control deficiencies and escalates issues to management.
- Risk Monitoring and Reporting:
- Supports the development of analyses and reports to aid in the monitoring and reporting of risks associated with qualifying change initiatives.
- Assists in compiling information and using reporting mechanisms to escalate risk exposures to senior and executive management.
- Contributes to data analysis, identifies trends, and summarizes information concisely to enable actionable reporting.
- Participates in developing training and standards to promote consistent adherence to the Bank's Enterprise Change Oversight Policy.
- Engages in professional networks (e.g., ABA, RMA, etc.) to stay informed about current and emerging issues.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or Accounting OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or Accounting
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of process management or business readiness frameworks.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidance pertaining to enterprise risk and operational risk (e.g., FDIC, FRB, OCC, CFPB, etc.).
- Experience working in complex and changing business and operating environments.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with various levels of management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Enterprise Risk Management and/or Operational Risk Management programs.
- Industry-recognized risk management certification (e.g., CERP, CRISC)
- Familiarity with a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) application.
