Overview:
This position serves as the authority, expert, and strategic liaison between senior and executive leadership and Human Resources (HR) on workforce solutions. Plays an integral role in developing strategic, innovative solutions and achieving organizational goals that positively impact business and financial results. Consults on complex, high level HR-related matters, providing guidance to leaders and associates at the highest level of expertise and confidentiality. Partners with key HR stakeholders on matters such as compensation, benefits, succession planning, talent development, and talent acquisition. The role assists senior and executive management with wider organizational initiatives that create value for the Bank. Provides leadership and direction to other HR associates on policies, programs, or complex matters.
Responsibilities:
- Consultation - Provides consultation and acts as the expert on complex employee relations matters. Promotes integrated, seamless, and comprehensive support across assigned regions or departments, specializing in high level or executive issues. Acts as a liaison between the line of business and HR to ensure alignment with internal client needs.
- Business Strategy - Drives change, encourages flexibility, and facilitates continuous improvement in support of evolving HR and business needs. Champions diversity, inclusion, affirmative action, and new opportunities for HR to add value to the Bank. Guides senior and executive management in aligning department objectives with wider organizational strategies.
- Business Support - Leads talent assessment, talent development, and related HR programs that improve associate experience while creating value for the Bank. Supports managers in workforce planning and related initiatives to expand manager capabilities. Identifies areas of opportunity and improvement within HR processes through trend analysis, associate feedback, and exit interviews. Develops, implements, and leads process improvements and other special projects. Provides guidance and direction to less experienced HR associates.
- Risk Mitigation - Identifies business risks tied to human capital and partners with leaders to create mitigation strategies. Engages on high level employee relations issues with significant legal exposure as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience as a Human Resources Partner or a consulting function within Human Resources OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience as a Human Resources Partner or a consulting function within Human Resources
Preferred Area of Experience:
Experience supporting a Risk organization within a large financial institution
License or Certification Type: PHR/SPHR Preferred, SHRM/CP Preferred, SHRM/SCP Preferred, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Certification after start date Required
