Overview:
This position leads the strategic execution of university engagement & partnerships to align to the Bank’s early career workforce planning initiatives. This leader is responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure quality student engagement and meaningful campus interactions while meeting business early career needs. The Director manages a team of leaders & associates that actively engage with senior leaders and university partners as well as effectively recruit student talent. This leader will effectively leverage tools, resources, and industry relationships to identify acquisition opportunities and key university partnerships while providing key insight into intern and early career talent successes for replicable and scalable pipelining strategies. This role will work closely with senior leadership, key stakeholders, university administration, advisors and faculty to align program offerings with corporate strategy & university engagement goals. This leader will ensure university engagement offers valuable insight, effective techniques, and creates sizable impact in support of business goals for pipelining talent and maintaining sustainable university relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Business Strategy - Collaborates with Senior Leaders, HR business partners, other HR COEs and key stakeholders to understand short and long-term talent needs that early career strategies and university engagement can help supplement. Develops recruiting strategies aligned to talent needs. Understands and communicates external early career talent data that supports recruiting strategies or informs practical actions and adjustments. Develops process improvements and new program designs that elevate the achievement of early career talent goals and business objectives.
- Relationship Development - Identifies, cultivates, and builds relationships with key universities, campus clubs and organizations, internal and external alumni networks and internal talent sources (i.e. Business Resource Groups) to build the Bank's reputation as an employer of choice in the early career space . Provides relationship development guidance to associates with student populations as potential candidates as well as university & career services administrators. Provides expert consultation and industry knowledge to key stakeholders, business leaders, and management, working closely with each business unit to determine their needs and the appropriate intern/early career engagement strategy. Coordinates and oversees team efforts throughout execution of program deliverables.
- Brand Marketing - Partners with internal marketing and communications teams to ensure ongoing employment brand awareness, visibility, and candidate influence are optimized, specifically targeting student/graduate population. Determines appropriate tools, platforms and strategies leveraging opportunities to represent the Bank in the wider collegiate market. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and impact of strategic initiatives and alignment with organizational goals. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to department policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition, Career Services, or University Relations. Experience in Financial Services preferred.

- Experience with talent acquisition tools, platforms and technologies relevant to attracting and engaging with early career talent
- Experience leading recruiting teams to reach program goals through empowerment and accountability
- Proven ability to drive results through data, metrics and key performance indicators
- Ability to engage a variety of partners and stakeholders to develop mutually beneficial relationships committed to program success
- Experience implementing systems/tools to solicit and manage engagement with extended associate populations such as employee alumni and business resource groups to support program success
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to influence with and without direct authority
- Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands on deliverables and resources
- Success communicating strategies effectively in writing or presentation
- Ability to demonstrate and create organizational awareness – private industry & higher education
