Overview:
This position consults on and develops internal communications that convey our First Citizens Wealth priorities and positively reflect our brand and client experience. Develops, edits, and designs intranet content, and other internal communications in collaboration with leaders. Serves as a key partner to strategic projects by creating and managing communications plans that ensure concise, timely, and effective communication to associates and internal partners. Administrative oversight of Wealth Division SharePoint pages and other communications technologies, including working with line of business content owners to keep them current and accurate, as well as providing insight and assistance on page updates.
Responsibilities:
- Consultation - Advises business leaders and internal partners on effective methods of communication. Provides written and editorial consulting services to ensure corporate communications are concise, consistent, and relevant to associates.
- Content Creation - Develops communications plans for enterprise-wide strategic projects to ensure the timeliness and consistency of messaging. Creates and edits content geared toward specific audiences, and assists in determining the most effective communications channels for content. Fosters audience engagement through relevant, concisely-packaged content.
- Collaboration - Collaborates with internal and external constituents to stay apprised of Bank priorities and issues, and develop internal communications that reach and engage audiences, both within Wealth and to key internal partners.
- Business Support - Maintains knowledge of best-in-class corporate communications and internal communications practices, and incorporates these into team's strategy and execution to foster continuous improvement. Ensures that legal and compliance requirements are met across all communication channels.
- Intranet Oversight – Provides administrative oversight for Wealth SharePoint site, collaborating with line of business content owners to ensure content is current, accurate, and relevant. Provide suggestions and consultative feedback to page owners on content and layouts, execute updates and redesigns as needed. Analyzes company intranet usage trends and statistics, and recommends areas for improvement.
- Presentation Creation – Supports Senior Leaders with creation of presentations and talking points for internal meetings and broadcasts. Provides ideas for designs to highlight key information and clearly convey Wealth messaging.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Internal Communications and Professional Writing OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Internal Communications and Professional Writing
Preferred Area of Study: Communications, Journalism, or English
Preferred Area of Experience: Intranet Writing and Web Design
Preferred Area of Experience: Financial Services Industry
Skill(s): Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Understanding of corporate communications
