Overview:
This position is responsible for the governance and reporting within the Treasury organization, including oversight of Committee and Board materials preparation, Treasury Council and Committee meeting minutes, governance document oversight, Business Continuity Planning, Records Management, TPRM, and Treasury New Activities. Guides governance and reporting strategy and acts as resource to executive leaders and senior managers across the department. Provides oversight to Treasury activities, monitoring and reporting on possible risks. Partners with associates, business units, and other key stakeholders to ensure the success of Treasury initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Risk Governance - Maintains and utilizes strong understanding of business operations, risks, controls and related laws and regulatory guidance. Supports the BU's participation in relevant risk governance group meetings and documents minutes in accordance with program expectations. Provides necessary feedback and coordinates on relevant governance documents to support BU activities and manage risk. Prepares for external audits and provides materials to regulators. Works with senior management to execute the implementation of effective program policies, standards, and procedures.
- Business Strategy – Serves as a subject matter expert providing guidance and process coaching to BU to ensure appropriate and effective collaboration between the BU and Risk Management departments.
- Identifying Risk - Analyzes governance documents and frameworks to identify risk. Communicate results to executive management and mitigates efforts appropriately.
- Reporting - Responsible for the implementation of reporting systems and methods to gauge compliance with governance and reporting requirements.
- Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations for work team. Makes appropriate changes to procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Provides guidance to staff and measures performance to ensure goal attainment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years’ experience in Banking Treasury/Finance/Risk Management/Governance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years’ experience in Banking Treasury/Finance/Risk Management/Governance
Skill(s): Experience with financial risk modeling - market risk, credit risk, or operational risk, Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
