First Citizens Bank hiring for Business Analyst II/III - Financial Strategy and Analytics (Hybrid) jobs in Clayton, NC, US
Overview:
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
The Business Analyst II/III supports the General Bank Financial Strategy and Analytics team by performing complex data analysis to identify, measure, and advise on business profitability, growth, and efficiency. Assesses a wide scope of business practices, information and data (both internal and external), and industry/competitive trends. Determines improvements or solutions to address identified issues. Develops and presents financial analysis including but not limited to cost benefit analysis, product/channel/business profitability, return on investment, and customer retention and acquisition. You will also develop and present expense optimization and performance analytics by examining and summarizing data to support business cases and strategic initiatives. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects, or participate in the development of process enhancements as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
- Operational Support - Provides daily support for business operations by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve standard practices. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements. May serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units.
- Identifying Objectives - Determines overall business needs through analysis and reporting. Suggests strategies to achieve company and department goals. Assists in creating specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation to communicate business initiatives to wider work group.
- Reporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Analytics or Reporting
OR
- High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 7 years of experience in Analytics or Reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Excel (including advanced knowledge of Pivot Tables, Macros, and formulas).
- Experience with basic Tableau dashboarding and SAS or SQL. Intermediate-to-advanced-level SAS and SQL skills preferable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in banking
