Overview:
This Process Coordinator position provides advanced project, system and operational support to all Check & Processing Services (CPS) teams within the Bank. Facilitates operations for Day 1 and Day 2 Check Processing (Item Processing, Research/Adjustments, Exceptions, Returns), Account Reconcilement Plan (ARP), Positive Pay, Centralized Teller Balancing and Statement & Print. Provides consultation, issue resolution, and reporting on tracked issues and production performance. Compiles performance metrics and financial reporting. Analyzes operations data to recommend process improvement opportunities. Ensures timely completion and effective delivery of systems and operational projects by managing the project life cycle through discovery, requirements development, test case development, test execution and defect remediation. Performs a number of system administration, maintenance, and operational tasks in order to streamline business activities. May provide guidance to less experienced associates in the work group.
This is a hybrid position that will require working from the office at a minimum of 3 days a week
Responsibilities:
- Operations - Monitors and reports on operational efficiencies and areas of improvement. Researches potential solutions for processing issues and recommends potential process improvements. Assists the development and execution of test scripts as well as the timely delivery of project results. Evaluates and conveys the success of projects that enhance overall technology and operational performance.
- Business Support - Resolves operational and system problems or escalates as necessary. Consults on system and operational matters. Performs analysis and data mining to provide insight into current or proposed processes. Partners extensively with Information Technology and other operational stakeholders. Will work closely with IT with the individuals who support the applications that the team owns.
- Reporting - Develops reporting systems in which qualitative and quantitative metrics are maintained along with payment processing industry trends. Documents inefficiencies within processes and client service activities.
- Coordination – Assists in coordinating new implementations across CPS teams while minimizing disruption to operations and client servicing activities. Develops training tools to communicate system changes to all impacted business areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Operations Support for Project Management or Process Management/Improvement OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Operations Support for Project Management or Process Management/Improvement
- Preferred Area of Experience: Bank Operations
- Skill(s): Knowledge of back office bank operations processes and the applications used to support Check Processing, Returns & Exceptions, Check Image Archive and other payment channels such as ACH, Image-Enabled ATM, Lockbox, Mobile Deposits and Remote Deposit Capture
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Payment processing experience preferred
- Reconciliation experience preferred but not required
- Project management experience
- UAT testing experience
- Candidate must have demonstrated first level decision-making and analytical capabilities
