Overview:
First Citizens Equipment Finance is a full-service, vendor-centric lending/leasing business unit. FCB EF provides a wide array of lending and leasing products/solutions to customers ranging in size from small/medium businesses to enterprise entities through its affiliation/alignment with OEM equipment vendors, their distributors, resellers, and dealers.
In this client-facing role, the Sr. Commercial Sales Rep establishes credibility in helping Partner win business and providing dedicated support that helps to differentiate FCB in the marketplace. The Sr. Commercial Sales Rep partners with the EF sales force to identify and close targeted mid ticket end user financing opportunities and position FCB for growth in this importance customer segment.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes credibility in helping Partner win business and providing dedicated support that helps to differentiate First Citizens in the marketplace.
- Partner with Equipment Finance sales force to identify and close targeted mid ticket end user financing opportunities and position FCB for growth in this importance customer segment.
- Engage directly with Vendor Partner to gain comprehensive understanding of end user opportunity and desired outcome to win targeted business.
- Act as single point of contact for Vendor Partner responsible for customer onboarding including cross functional communication and collaboration with various internal groups including legal, credit, sales, billing, and vendor to the point of funding vendor partner.
- Establish a recurring process to provide feedback to the sales force team members and the relevant managers on deal activity and other potential initiatives to drive greater penetration within mid ticket end user segment.
- Helps with Deal Structuring that Mitigates risk for FCB while still meeting partner and customer expectations.
- Expected to be individual contributor as well as support outside sales reps on an overlay basis.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years' experience working in or related to the Equipment or Technology Financial Services Industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience working in or related to the Equipment or Technology Financial Services Industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some travel required.
- Strong understanding of leasing, credit, finance, and contracts with ability to propose and negotiate solutions to achieve sales objectives.
- Ability to work independently while developing and maintaining internal and external relationships to maximize results in role.
- Strong communication, deal structuring and sales skills.
- Ability to work with C level executives.
- Proven ability to access and translate clients’ needs and deal complexities into simplified solutions that fit within credit risk management guidelines.
- Basic skills of Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office and ability to use T-Value in support of the sales effort.
