Overview:
This individual contributor role is a mid-level senior lead position within the delivery organization. This role requires thought leadership and the ability to work autonomously while managing multiple mid to large sized and moderately complex processes, products, and programs. It requires mostly tactical oversight of numerous parallel projects and cross-functional domains to influence timelines, expectations, and proactively negotiates across departments to attain technology and business goals while managing overall risk to the bank.
This role is remote eligible.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Delivery Oversight - Collaborates with technology leaders, enterprise PMOs, and product management to align strategic objectives and roadmaps for the specified technology business unit. Facilitates quarterly and annual planning focused on delivering business value outlined in strategic objectives and roadmaps.Uses individual judgement to make moderate to complex business decisions that could have noticeable impact to department or program results. Manages strategic relationships and alignment with peers and leadership within assigned projects and function. Contributes feedback towards defining organizational goals, workforce strategy, and enterprise standards to establish metrics. Advocates for the importance of adhering to processes and compliance standards within the technology delivery function. Advises technology leadership and drives adoption of enterprise standards and best practices across direct area of responsibility. Develops and continuously improves skills and abilities for self, individuals, teams, and the organization optimizing performance, enhancing agility, and adapting to evolving technological landscapes.
- Delivery Execution - Advanced skill in core delivery functions which includes ownership of the complete delivery lifecycle (from product / program / process initiation to completion), for mid to large size efforts, focused on achieving business objectives while maintaining high team performance. Manages multiple moderately to high complex processes, programs, and products spanning numerous technology domains and business areas. Accountable for scope, roadmaps, budget, staffing, and impediment management for programs and BAU activities. Manages and governs the development and execution of large technology and enterprise programs. Responsible for executing, overseeing, and communicating the delivery of these programs, driving results to achieve business outcomes. Leads cross functional development from design to delivery. Strategizes, schedules, and aligns financials and resources essential for executing large initiatives and programs ensuring delivery of key business outcomes. Develops methods for monitoring the progress and performance of these initiatives and programs, within the assigned technology function. Examines outcomes to identify potential issues, risks, and areas for improvement. Communicates recommendations to relevant stakeholders through reports or other documentation.
- Delivery Operations, Process Compliance Standards, Workforce, Financial, and Vendor Management - Supervises program-level financial forecasts and end-of-month reconciliation efforts. Participates in negotiations with external consultants or technology vendors. Collaborates with technology leaders to effectively manage vendor relationships, optimizing the value vendors contribute to the organization by enhancing performance and aligning resources. Evaluates opportunities to streamlines processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency, addressing bottlenecks in the end-to-end flow. Implements best practices to drive efficiency and improve time to production. Partners with the enterprise PMO as needed to ensure all projects meet quality standards and compliance including SDLC, Project Management Lifecycle, Agile Standards, etc. Works with peers and junior staff to drive standardization of delivery practices in alignment to enterprise standards and controls. Drives best practices, governance, compliance and standards across the delivery organization.
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally$122,152 to $211,730 per year.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Project Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Project Management
Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree
Preferred Area of Experience: Software Development, Infrastructure, Vendor Management, Financial Institution, LFI (Large Financial Institution)
License or Certification Type: Project Management Certification Required, Certified Scrum Master (Any or Multiples) Required, SAFE 6.0 Certification (Any or Multiples) Preferred
Skill(s): Previous oversight of technical implementations, Knowledge of SDLC, Knowledge of Execution Methodologies or Frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), Knowledge of end to end delivery lifecycle from system or data design to implementation, Understands how to collaborate with leadership to define strategy and approach for solving complicated technical problems, Ability to deliver solutions that solve complex problems, using thought leadership and independent thinking skills, Ability to lead others in the successful execution and delivery of long term, multi-layered projects and initiatives, JIRA, Collaboration Tools (SharePoint, Confluence), Broad knowledge across more than one technology domain
