Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Director of People Analytics. This individual will play a critical role in guiding our organization's talent management and workforce planning strategies through data-driven insights and analysis. The Director of People Analytics will lead a team of 3 analysts, overseeing the development of high-level business analyses and analytical solutions to improve the company's operating performance. The Director will ensure the quality of data and identify patterns, utilizing their extensive knowledge of data modeling techniques and tools to design visualizations and provide insights to HR and business leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive people analytics strategy to support data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify critical people metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with organizational objectives.
- Translate business needs to model/analytics design, conduct data analysis, and lead testing and deployment activities. Work with HR stakeholders to solicit and document functional requirements for development of new analyses, enhancements to existing analytics, and data visualization.
- Working with a team of analysts, build and maintain people analytics infrastructure including data management, reporting, data modeling and visualization tools.
- Design and execute research projects to uncover insights on employee performance, engagement, retention/attrition, DE&I, other employee and workforce planning trends.
- Analyze data and develop actionable recommendations to improve talent management, workforce planning, and overall business performance. Share complex data results in a format that is easily understandable for the business to tell a story and make sound decisions.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership, HR partners and other stakeholders to inform decision-making and drive organizational change.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes and make recommendations on ways to reduce manual work.
- Build project plans, ensure adherence to project schedules, and collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to set priorities and outline long-term analytics recommendations.
- Manage and mentor a team of people analytics professionals, providing guidance, support and opportunities for growth and development.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in people analytics to ensure continuous improvement and innovation within the function.
- Safeguard the privacy of employee data from improper use and disclosure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Data Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of people analytics experience, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, and delivery using Power BI or Tableau.
- 5+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical methods, data management and data visualization tools, preferably Power BI or Tableau.
- Advanced to Expert Level Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including high level of competency leveraging complex formulas and functions, charts and pivot tables, and power queries, macros, or VBA.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success working with clients and staff to identify issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to quickly prototype and transform ideas into high-quality work products.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and determine appropriate steps to progress even when dealing with uncertainty.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, with a proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects, handling production support needs, changing priorities, and following-up in a timely manner.
- Ability to work efficiently both individually and as a team, managing projects and deadlines, sharing best practices, and adapting to change with a strong customer focus.
- Willingness to shift from high-level critical thinking to driving implementation of deliverables.

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $175,000 + Bonus
