Job DescriptionThe Senior Client Associate 1 is a sales position responsible for account relationship revenue generation within the retail accounts. This includes account strategy, account penetration, relationship development and achievement of revenue goals. This sales position is on our Retail team and includes Big Box and Specialty retailers.A successful candidate will be responsible to manage an existing book of accounts and onboard new accounts within the Retail markets. Candidate will be the main point of contact for assigned accounts working with internal partners, other lines of business, and clients directly. They will be responsible for growing revenue on a book of accounts. The responsibilities focus on identifying, developing, and presenting value-driven, client-centric marketing solutions that leverage Epsilon's premier data assets across all activation channels (digital, advanced TV, Omnichannel, CTV, email, direct mail etc.) and Data Enhancement of our third-party data on client files.
Responsibilities
- Account Revenue generation to achieve assigned revenue quota.
- Provide strategic plan for accounts and execute against plan.
- Outlines strategic opportunities for the client across all product lines and channels - digital, social, email, and direct mail.
- Increase Epsilon Market Share on assigned book of clients.
- Responsible for 100% product penetration within accounts
- Ensures that schedules and budgets are met according to contractual agreements. Works with client to cultivate future projects and qualify new opportunities. Develops plans to sell strategic products in assigned territory and assists R&D in the market analysis of potential products.
- Creates/maintains both vertical and horizontal client contact relationships, at mid-level management and above. Obtains and maintains significant client communications.
- Works closely with client to oversee day-to-day relationship. Provides products and service to customers in such a way to ensure 100% client retention and client reference-ability to aid in the sales effort.
- Ensures customer satisfaction with Epsilon solutions.
- Manages day-to-day dialogue with client contacts.
- Able to maintain C-Suite relationships.
- Primary contact within client company at most organizational levels
- Develops deal terms and completes contract negotiation.
- Consult with Product Management and Data Strategy Teams
- Able to negotiate contract renewals and pricing agreements.
- Initiates pricing incentive recommendations internally and externally to meet annual Epsilon objectives.
- Collaborate in Epsilon Cross Sell initiatives with Epsilon Tech and DMS teams, secure data revenue.
- Collaborate with Publicis agency for optimal data strategy and revenue.
- Accurate and timely forecasting in the Salesforce system.
- Serve as internal liaison to other functional groups.
- Conducts face-to-face and phone client meetings on an on-going basis as needed.
- Travels as appropriate to client size (may be up to 50%).
- Provides follow-up to all meetings within 48 hours.
- Reviews and prioritizes deliverables from each meeting.
- Manages the process for client orders.
- Project manages client orders to completion.
- Utilization of Internal Epsilon Systems:
- Order Management System
- CRM - Client contact and communication system
- Forecasting system
- Demonstrates solutions-oriented consultative sales approach to growing their book of business.
- Insures timely and accurate invoicing.
- Provides first-level sales management to insure minimum achievement of 100% of quota.
- Leads sales presentations on key accounts at all levels including Director level, superior communication, and negotiation skills.
- Mentor's junior associates on the Retail sales team and participate as needed in the Data Mentor Program
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or university equivalent in Marketing, Sales, or business with 5-7 years' experience in client facing sales role and/or direct marketing in a multi-channel environment.
- Strong communication skills including collaborating, negotiating, persuading, public speaking, and listening.
- Experience in applying analytic solutions to maximize return. Must be analytical and have critical thinking skills.
- Ability to leverage internal resources and tools appropriately.
- Ability to juggle conflicting client and internal priorities in a deadline oriented, technical selling environment.
- Solid background and usage of SalesForce.
- Excellent Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
