Job Description:Epsilon's Data organization is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Client Management Director specializing in the Retail Vertical. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering strong client partnerships and driving revenue growth within the Retail Accounts. This will include account strategy, Account penetration, relationship development and achievement of revenue goals. This role is on our Retail team and included Big Box and Specialty retailers. We are seeking an individual with exceptional business acumen, capable of understanding client needs and aligning them with tailored Digital Media solutions to achieve their business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Client Partnership:
- Focus on identifying, developing, and presenting value-driven, client-centric marketing solutions that leverage Epsilon's premier Data Assets across all activation channels (Digital, Advanced TV, Omnichannel, CTV, Email, Direct Mail, etc..) and Data Enhancement of our third-part data on client files.
- Develop and maintain strong client partnerships, creating win/win outcomes that drive revenue growth for Digital Media and all other channels.
- Communicate and sell to all levels including C-Suite
- Outlines strategic opportunities for the client across all product lines and channels (Digital, Social, Email, and Direct Mail).
- Develops plans to sell strategic products in assigned territory and assist R&D in the market analysis of potential products.
- Collaborate in Epsilon Cross Sell initiatives with Epsilon Tech and DMS teams, secure data revenue.
- Consult with Product Management and Data Strategy Teams.
- Works with client to cultivate future projects and qualify new opportunity.
- Utilize comprehensive business acumen to identify and align business needs with Digital Media solutions, ensuring clients achieve their objectives and goals.
- Lead internal resources to prepare and deliver objective-based solutions for clients.
- Employ a consultative approach and creativity to customize sales solutions, addressing clients' compelling events and helping them meet their goals.
- Facilitate day-to-day management of client accounts, both internally and externally.
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including the partner strategy team, marketing, analytics, legal, compliance, and key decision-makers within the organization.
- Conduct face-to-face and phone client meetings on an ongoing basis as needed.
- Provide thought leadership to retail client and internal teams.
- Travel once a quarter to see all clients.
Negotiation and Roadmap Development:
- Able to negotiate contract renewals and pricing agreements.
- Able to gather and communicate client strategy and project requirements to facilitate strong project management.
- Negotiate with client decision-makers to create positive outcomes for Digital Media and the client.
- Develops deal terms and completes contract negotiation.
- Initiates pricing incentive recommendations internally and externally to meet annual Epsilon objectives.
- Develop a roadmap for success over time, focusing on client satisfaction, growth, and building trust to become the Client's Trusted Advisor.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing Retail Vertical digital campaigns with a proven track record of renewing and growing revenue from existing clients.
- Familiarity with how Retail clients leverage Retailer Media Networks and utilize 2nd and 3rd Party Retailer data for campaign activations and attribution.
- 10+ years of professional sales and marketing business experience.
- Client management or sales experience (client-side, ad solutions, direct marketing, agency experience).
- Multi-disciplined marketer with expertise across key marketing components, including strategy, analytics, media performance, and forecasting.
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify opportunities, new business, and market gaps.
- Comfortable with consultative sales and solution selling.
- Strong business and strategic planning acumen.
- Solid quantitative background with an understanding of analytic tools and techniques.
- Understanding of marketing program design, execution, and measurement.
- Strong negotiation skills and effective communication across multiple levels of an organization.
- Works well in a team/highly collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated sales and business development experience.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, and proficiency in Sales Management software (i.e., Salesforce.com).
- BA/BS with a strong academic record, preferred. MBA a plus.
