Cox Communications is seeking a
Lead Product Manager - Network Enablement Platforms . This role will be responsible for growing, evolving and managing our platform engineering capabilities within the Network Enablement Technologies team, including establishing and maturing Platform, Enablement, SRE/NRE and Operations teams.Compiles and evaluates research on network enablement requirements and identifies enhancements to current platform features and functionality. Establishes platform/software/service specifications and coordinates with various functions including engineering teams, IT, field techs, and the NOC, to ensure successful product development and implementation.The role is also responsible for the continued development of an internal development platform for use by engineering teams to ultimately establish CI/CD pipelines that manage the provisioning and maintenance lifecycle of the service provider network devices.Commonly responsible for administering platforms and infrastructure, maintaining applications and services, communicating with platform users and stakeholders, and preparing reports for systems and assets.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Oversee the provisioning and management of infrastructure including servers, networking, storage, and cloud
- Manage a team that is responsible for developing automation testing and deployment scripts and tooling
- Responsible for building CI/CD pipelines for feature teams, including build/test/deployment workflows
- Establishing and evolving an internal development platform for use by engineering teams
- Monitoring system performance to analyze performance, security, and reliability
- Integrating security and compliance into the platform with encryption and access management
- Documenting configurations and processes so different teams understand how to use the same platform
- Create automated processes for managing the operational aspects of a system
- Configure Monitoring and Logging for system performance observability and reporting
- Configure Monitoring, Logging and Alerting for detecting issues
- Automate the monitoring, logging and alerting system use cases
- Provide on-call support as needed from the operations teams
- Collaborating with engineering teams and other stakeholders to understand what they need from the platform
- Researching emerging technologies to build into the platform, as well as their potential impact
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 18 years' experience in a related field
- Experience in leading the design and implementation of complex infrastructure solutions involving servers, networking, storage, and cloud technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and building/optimizing these processes
- Experience translating complex technical concepts into clear documentation for diverse audiences
- Experience in developing and implementing automated operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability
- Experience utilizing collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred:
- Experience with Network Automation tools/platforms
- Experience with general IT automation tools
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps and SRE practices
USD 106,700.00 - 177,900.00 per year
Compensation:Compensation includes a base salary of $106,700.00 - $177,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
