Cox Communications is searching for an
Engineering Operations Senior Analyst who will work across Engineering / Product groups / Operational teams and play a critical role in analyzing business processes to identify potential areas of improvement and driving solutions to optimize performance. This role will engage cross-functionally with other technical / engineering teams to define and document requirements, develop concepts, and validate solutions against original business needs.Additionally, ensure all systems function End to End in support of Network Enablement, Operational Enablement and Product Enablement phases. You will drive E2E delivery, integration, certification and operational readiness for the PON platform. This role is accountable and responsible for project concept through trial and certification across Network, Product and Operational Enablement phases. Common deliverables typically include the business requirements document (BRD) and associated lifecycle management tools/processes, project charter, scope definition, work activities, project schedule, PoaP (Plan on a Page), RAID log, change management, communications plan, resource plan, project budget, operational readiness plan, status updates, reporting, and tracking. Uses industry recognized/generally accepted PM knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to achieve a project's stated objectives.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to analyze business needs and translate into detailed requirements, and understand cost, performance, and scalability considerations
- Manage business requirements lifecycle across the delivery portfolio and ensure centralization, standardization, and version control of requirements documentation artifacts
- Serve as liaison between the business owners and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of business objectives
- Validate capability delivery against original business intent by leading/participating in solution design reviews and user acceptance testing as required to ensure alignment to specified targets
- Lead all technical delivery activities related to Network Enablement, Operational Enablement and Product Enablement (including the following): technical, product and business objectives, project scope, implementation plan, project schedules and project budget
- Develop leadership communications - briefing decks, status reports, etc. that will be developed on a regular meeting cadence and requirements of executive and program stakeholders
- Working with cross-functional partners, systems, component, process, device definition development. Adheres to company operations and related development standards and requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of the business
- Communicate major milestones, critical delivery path, and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and project resources to drive key decisions and ensure timely project completion
- Project cycle of typically 1-3 years
- Actions at this level can cause or prevent delays, inefficiencies or unnecessary expenses that measurably affect operational results of a CCI business or the efficiency and effectiveness of a team
- Projects typically affect business unit(s) and/or entire company
- Play a key role in relation to both internally developed and externally sourced technologies
- Participates in verification of complex technologies and components
- May provide guidance and direction to more junior business analysts, delivery leads, and/or project managers
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field
- Working knowledge of engineering or related disciplines and processes
- Demonstrated business analysis, requirements documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to develop and refine deliverables and incorporate feedback in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience leading matrixed programs in a Telecommunications/Engineering environment
- PMP and/or Business Analysis certifications are desirable but not required
USD 85,500.00 - 128,300.00 per year
Compensation:Compensation includes a base salary of $85,500.00 - $128,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
