Cox Communications is looking for a Lead Business Data Architect to be a core member of the Cox Business Enablement team. In this role, you will know and understand current and future Serviceability and Spatial Processing & Analytics technology and define how that technology will contribute to the success of the business, and how the business can leverage serviceability & spatial data to drive key Sales & Marketing business processes. You will collaborate with the project team and Technology Architects to understand requirements from business stakeholders, establish and deliver best practices, and maintain a high level of quality within the Serviceability technology environment (SERV, EDE and CBForce). You will implement and drive industry best practices for data design, ingestion, modeling, structure, integration, and mastery of serviceability & spatial data. You will operate under general supervision and in continuous collaboration with Developers, Architects, boundary Data experts and key Stakeholders. The Lead Business Data Architect will have expertise in cloud/prem platforms and data framework to support the enablement of data engineering and analytics capabilities; ultimately driving a harmonized and integrated data ecosystem to support Serviceability & Spatial Analytics.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Develop and propose Serviceability & Spatial data and technology solutions based on client needs, modern data architecture best practices, and roadmap/desired target state of the CBForce ecosystem (Salesforce Sales Cloud & Marketing Cloud), Customer360 and Enterprise Data Ecosystem at Cox.
- Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment.
- Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of technology solutions, and report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes.
- Represent the needs & perspectives of Serviceability in the design and architecture of an integrated and strategic cross-application logical data framework for operational and analytical data needs that align to Enterprise standards.
- Create solution prototypes including hands-on coding and configuration.
- Partner with Technology in leading technology selection processes.
- Define features, phases, and solution requirements in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaise with client stakeholders and solution development teams on an ongoing basis.
- Set and continually manage expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 18 years' experience in a related field
- Experience with spatial analytics approaches & tools (e.g. geocoding, working with address data, map visualization, H3/Hexagonal hierarchical geospatial indexing, etc.).
- Experience with SQL, with ability to perform exploratory & ad-hoc analysis to structure, join & massage data to come to the needed insight or conclusion.
- Experience with enterprise application integration and master data management solutions.
- Experienced in cloud architecture, design, and hands on knowledge of core CRM application, data integration & mastery services such as SalesForce, MuleSoft, Informatica.
- Experience with business process design relative to software, integration and data design. Along with understanding ETL flow processes.
- Experienced in software development and database design.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large scale software projects to successful completion on time and on budget.
- Able to work and communicate effectively with other talented IT professionals, execute independently, and handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to lead large scale data projects in a cloud or cloud/ on premise hybrid model.
Preferred:
- Excellent client management skills: ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, especially at a level that Director and C-Level executives can understand.
- Needs to adapt to various client environments. Strong database design skills - both relational and non-relational.
- Strong familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem, in particular the Sales Cloud data model, Accounts, and accessing/working with data from Salesforce through a variety of front-end and back-end data extract tools.
- Ability to perform management and Design of Data resources and catalogs using a combination of Informatica Axon & Enterprise Data Catalog
- Ability to perform design & extension of the Salesforce Data Cloud Data Model, using Salesforce standard DMO's, customizing where appropriate; create & manage Calculated Insights & Transformations.
- Ability to use and interface with Oracle Spatial Studio; Salesforce Maps; Tableau, Power Bi; SalesForce SOQL, Reports & Tableau CRM (Einstein Analytics); Informatica MDM; Oracle SQL Developer
USD 117,300.00 - 195,500.00 per year
Compensation:Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
