- Drive full-spectrum technical discovery, with customers and members of their technology and business teams, to uncover a complete understanding of how Cox's solutions may fit that customer's needs.
- Construct, socialize and present the gamut of Cox's commercial technical solutions directly customers both in person and virtually.
- Lead technical presentations that touch all of Cox's businesses and solutions to help customers understand the breadth and depth of solutions available to them.
- Guide, Train and Develop the Sales Team and other Sales Engineers so as to enhance the skillsets and capabilities of others.
- Guide the product development teams, in a technical expert role, to ensure the sales teams and customers' current, evolving and future needs are understood. Also, provide advanced technical feedback to the product development team, as appropriate.
- Assess how Cox Business technical solutions can integrate to meet the customer's technology needs. Leads discussions with Network Operations and Engineering to ensure that the designed technology solution will meet customer needs and to ensure network availability/serviceability before orders are finalized.
- Collaborates with peers in other Cox Companies or key strategic partners to develop relationships and solutions for integrated cross-business opportunities
- Attends industry-related training to increase knowledge of Cox Business and competitor technology solutions, consultation, negotiation, and sales skills; attending strategic and/or development meetings with sales teams.
- Lead discussions with the sales organization as the technical subject matter expert. Partnering will include attending sales calls, leading technical portions of the sales presentation, explaining why Cox Business' proposed solution is the right one, and negotiating technical aspects of the proposal, as needed.
- Leads discussions with members of the Sales and Sales Support team to develop Cox Business proposals and associated technical specifications, and respond to RFPs, as needed to ensure their technical integrity.
- Leads internal technical resources necessary to develop sales proposals and sales presentations on complex, high-end solutions.
- Provides expert technical guidance to customers, other members of the Sales team, and Project Managers to coordinate Cox Business solution implementations and migrations to ensure a smooth and consistent customer installation experience.
- Leads the Sales team in interfacing with customers and vendors to develop Cox Business proposals and associated technical specifications, as needed to ensure their integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 4 years of experience in a related field, or 6 years of technology solutions experience or exposure
- Microsoft Office Proficiency- Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint
- Mastery of skills in building relationships, adaptability, reasoning, effective communication, formal in-person and virtual presentation skills, continuous personal development, sustained customer satisfaction, product knowledge, technical, business, financial and professional acumen.
- Mastery (6+ Years) of technical consultation guiding sales opportunities, and sales acumen.
- Mastery knowledge of XaaS
- AWS Foundational, Azure Intermediate, Google Foundational Certification or Equivalent
- Have or had Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network + or Equivalent
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record, reliable transportation
Preferred
- 6+ years of telecommunications (telephony, data, and video) experience
- Salesforce CRM experience is highly desired
- Industry Network Professional Certifications
- Metro Ethernet Forum Carrier Ethernet 3.0 Certification or equivalent
- AWS Associate, Azure Intermediate, Google Associate Certification or Equivalent
USD 106,700.00 - 177,900.00 per year
Compensation:Compensation includes a base salary of $106,700.00 - $177,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
