Cox Automotive, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, is seeking a
User Experience Designer-II to join our team! The UX Designer-II is an advocate for the end-user while supporting the Product and Software Development teams. The ideal candidate has experience translating complex business requirements into clear, user-centric interactions that contribute to intuitive, innovative and highly desirable software products. The position requires strong communication, collaboration and consensus building skills in addition to strong visual design, research, user journey mapping and task analysis skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The User Experience designer will handle multiple responsibilities including but not limited to:
- The UI/UX look and feel and user flow of software applications
- Must be able to translate complex design requirements into clear, user-friendly online experiences
- Be able to conduct user research through various user- testing techniques including: developing surveys, heuristic evaluations, benchmarking, user interviews, a/b testing, and / or user observations.
- Lead or participate in requirements gathering activities in conjunction with the product team. Some activities may include: Card sorting, Story Mapping and / or affinity diagrams.
- Lead design brainstorm sessions with stakeholders, product team members and development team members
- Producing timely artifacts such as: wireframes, hi-fi and lo-fi mock-ups, information architecture diagrams, interactive prototypes, personas and user journeys
- Support the software development teams in establishing and maintaining UI/UX standards which encourage consistency and user predictability across multiple applications
- Coordinate with the NextGear Marketing Department to ensure that any external-facing applications are consistent and fit into the overall NextGear marketing strategy and branding

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in (visual communication, interaction design or related field) and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment is a plus
- Expert in the Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design)
- Experience working with a UX/UI design system (material design / Lightning / etc.) system is a plus
- Knowledge in web technology, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of corporate branding, layout, color theory, visual design, typography, and user experience
- Must be able to translate complex design requirements into clear, user-friendly online experiences
- Must possess a sophisticated sense of style/design and bring an impeccable understanding of interactive design fundamentals (including type, image, color, structure, and usability)
- Must be highly organized with extreme attention to detail
- Excellent communication, collaboration and consensus building skills
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven, multitask environment
- Ability to interact on all management levels of the organization
- Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness
- Demonstrated success under pressure while managing multiple projects and deadlines at the same time
- Minimal travel may be required
USD 85,500.00 - 128,300.00 per year
Compensation:Compensation includes a base salary of $85,500.00 - $128,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
