Job Summary
Under the direction of a Pharmacist, provides technical assistance, processing and preparing medications and supplies. Works with multiple medication automation systems. Delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas. Triages phone calls and messages from multidisciplinary team members.

Essential Functions
- Prepares supplies / medication under the direction of a Pharmacist.
- Prepares and packages bulk medications into unit of use packaging.
- Handles controlled substances for pharmacy and patient care areas under direct supervision of a pharmacist per federal and state law.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Delivers pharmacy prepared medications, controlled substances and supplies to various nursing stations/patient care areas.
- Triages phone calls and messages
- Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications. Completes all Spectrum Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.
Qualifications
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- retail or hospital pharmacy experience Preferred
- LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
- LIC-Pharmacy Technician Temp - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required And
- LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan 1 Year required
- CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Excludes - LIC-Pharmacist Intern 1 Year required Or
- CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association Excludes - LIC-Pharmacist Intern 1 Year required
- Ideal candidate will possess Pharmacy Technician License and/or National Certification and some Pharmacy experience
