Provides clinical support to health care professionals to ensure the delivery of quality health care services.
Practice Overview
We see patients every 20 minutes, with a team of 7 MAs. MAs have an extremely hands on position. Take vitals, med reconciliation, health history, measurement and pictures of wounds; assist with wrapping wounds and handling patient care (competencies are in place annually and the level of hands on is specific to this office). If interested, MAs have the option to work as an interior attendant in the Hyperbaric Medicine chamber, a physical exam is required by Occupational Health for clearance to safely run in the chamber. Patients are seen weekly which allows staff to develop a relationship with the patient and witness progression of their work from onset of wound to full healing status in lieu of seeing them once per year. The patients get to ring our “healing bell” when they’ve healed and those present in the office clap and cheer for the patient and their families.
Office Culture
Dynamic team; respectful work space between licensures; physicians and APPs that are easy to approach. The team likes to have fun but works very hard. Operations tries to give all team members space to make suggestions and problem solve in the office. Feedback is given at a peer level first and leadership is integrated when needed. Weekly MA touch bases ensure collaboration is at the forefront of the work process and we consistently lean in to find more efficient and effective processes. Work/life balance is the main priority, and the staff is incredibly supportive in times of need.
