Salary and Other Compensation:
The base annual salary for this position is between $[95,000– 115,000+] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Applications will be accepted until 9/15.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infra Ops Specialist with 10 to 14 years of experience in Linux Administration specifically RHEL SLES and OEL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Linux-based infrastructure ensuring high availability and providing technical support to our operations team. This role is crucial for maintaining the stability and performance of our systems.
Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize Linux-based infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for RHEL, SLES, and OEL environments.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from vulnerabilities.
- Oversee system backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization, making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and updates.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and processes. - Lead efforts to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices for Linux administration.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on Linux-related tasks.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
Conduct regular system audits and generate reports on system health and performance.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in Linux administration.
