Azure Architect (Onsite)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Participate in UI/Logic design and developed markups that follow web standards with a rich user experience
• Document Low Level Design, Unit Testing Plan, and Unit Test case documentation
• Design, develop, code review, bug-fix, and test the application
• Assist in Integration Testing
• Perform Code optimization and strictly adhere to bank coding standards
• Assist in any documentation or any artifacts needed for OIS clearance
• Participate in SCRUM meeting and coordination with onsite and offshore team
• Perform timely resolution of issues and root cause analysis of each issue
• Applied Security Compliance, which includes Application and data security assessment and remediation to attain compliance to WB Office Information Security Policiesand Standards
• Proactively manage your own work queue, time, and expectations, meet deadlines, and communicate needs and tradeoffs if your schedule is in jeopardy
• Provide guidance to other team member about design approaches and appropriate solutioning for SP online/Azure.
• Work with application support teams to handover developed solutions.
• Coordinate all development and fiduciary activities.
• Implement development approaches especially on Azure
• Leverage tools like Azure App Insight and Splunk to diagnose and maintain robust performant applications.
• Ensure corrective action for any system issues and ensure timely escalation of these issue. Support the root cause and impact analysis of the issues and propose and validate fixes to address them.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent relevant experience
• MS Certified Azure Architect or other industry certificate in the Architect space
• Must have designed at least one enterprise grade system with high availability in PAAS environment.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in MS technologies including ASP. Net
• Hands on experience with one or more from on-perm to Cloud migration
• Experience in developing and deploying Event Receivers, Feature Receivers, Timer Jobs
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.) and Agile methodologies.
• Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, etc.).
• Develop a comprehensive cloud migration strategy and roadmap.
• Assess onpremises applications and platforms, identifying optimal migration approaches.
• Design and implement Azure architectures for scalability, security, and performance.
• Lead the migration of applications to Azure PaaS, leveraging services like Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Ensure seamless integration with Azure services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory).
• Collaborate with development teams to modernize applications and optimize cloud usage.
• Establish cloud governance, security, and compliance practices.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
• Communicate migration progress and strategies to stakeholders.

The annual salary for this position will be between $120,500 to $141,500 and will depend on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
