The Senior Warehouse Technician is responsible to ensure the effective and efficient flow of supplies; Assets, Inventory and Consumables in and out of the Warehouse Operations, this includes purchasing from vendors and supply to our Field Operations.

- Assist and maintain an effective materials supply department by carrying out all shipping and receiving duties in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with Grocery Orders/Service Requests assembly and monthly inventory counts as required while maintaining quality controls for all items shipped for catering and/or service departments
- Arrange the warehouse supplies in a productive, logical manner and maintain it in the same manner
- Accountable to track all shipments for KPI’s, as identified by Management in addition to ensuring all work orders are logged-in and/or reviewed on a daily basis
- Data enter financial information into the system
- Ensure the purchase of materials and services are performed as required and consistent with policies and approval levels
- Assist with developing preferred supplier agreements and contracts
- Research new and innovative ways to incorporate other branches of Peak into the Centralized Materials department
- Communicate any concerns relating to pricing and/or issues resulting from Vendor relationships to the Manager, Inventory & Supply
- Ensure all products are managed, arrangement and used in according to first in first out (FIFO) rules and maintain Par Levels to meet business demands
- Provide management with real time data and reports when required
- Act as the department lead in the absence of the Supervisor, Warehouse or Superintendent
- Assist with mentoring and coaching employees
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed
- Follow direction as provide by the Shop Foreman
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
- High School or equivalent required
- Forklift Operator Safety training would be considered an asset required
- Food Safe required
- WHMIS requires
- First Aid certifications required
- 3 to 5 years related experience
- Demonstrates strong initiative and judgment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Navision)Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Timely, reliable and effective in all areas of work
- Practice of safe work procedures such a wearing proper personal protective equipment and ensuring work areas is kept clean and tidy
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills that will promote effective communication between customers and internal management
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well both independently as well as in a team environment
- A team player who is able to provide support, motivation and encouragement to remote
- accommodation personnel and other members of the team
- Ability to adapt and function in stressful environment
- Experience working in a warehouse or inventory role or environment
- 1-3 years experience in a supervisory role preferred
