Clean Harbors is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor in Norwell, MA. This position will be responsible to set and oversee the daily operational goals, control the overall health of the PeopleSoft purchasing master data.

- Supervise the daily operations for Corporate Purchasing. Implement initiatives to meet/exceed the overall annual objectives set by the Corporate Director of Procurement
- Set annual performance goals and long terms development objectives for Corporate Purchasing Coordinators
- Execute the daily operational plans for Purchasing Coordinators
- Support corporate initiatives that interface with purchasing system processes and procedures.
- Perform data analysis, identify areas for improvement of purchasing master data and implement projects to improve data accuracy
- Train new users and perform refresher training for existing users related to the PeopleSoft purchasing, Catalog and inventory systems.
- Perform root cause and corrective action exercises to address purchasing system issues
- Assist Directors, Purchasing Managers and Sourcing Managers with data collection, organization and analysis to support cost savings initiatives
- Ensure information entered into the purchasing database is accurate and has proper approval prior to entry.
- Research and implement cost reduction ventures.
- Implement and manage accounts for assigned national vendors.
- Review and approve invoices as assigned by management.
- Maintain PeopleSoft vendor database, which includes creating new vendors, processing address changes, and creating vendor reports.
- College degree or specialized training in business or a related field is required
- 5-7 years Alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Strong supervisory skills, ability to deal with conflict
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal skills
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Access
- Extensive transactional and master data knowledge of Peoplesoft 9.1 purchasing and inventory modules
- Purchasing support experience
