Clean Harbors is looking to hire a Buyer in Norwell, MA! The Buyer identify, researches, evaluates and select suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Execute similar activities as the mid-level buyer; typically involved with medium/large purchases and suppliers that have moderate impact on the organization's products, processes and budget. Frequently reports to a Purchasing Supervisor or Purchasing Manager.

- Negotiates and approves goods and contractor services. Maintains rapport with vendors, manages bids including specifications. Identifies and qualifies vendors explaining requirements. Studies and evaluates proposals, negotiates price, terms and licensing agreements, awards and terminates contracts.
- Analyzes changes or new issues in materials and supply to reduce costs and improve quality
- Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business requirements.
- Guides purchasing actions by developing, enforcing and managing purchasing policies and procedures.
- Receives and grants approval for purchases of goods or services.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 3-5 Years of Supply Chain management or related is preferred
- Experience purchasing management in contract/construction.
- Dedicated to meeting expectations of all clients through strong planning, organization, negotiation
