Clean Harbors is seeking a a highly skilled and experienced Director of Supply Chain Management to lead our supply and production planning functions at our oil blending and packaging facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production order planning, MRP tool development, and general inventory and warehouse management operations. They will manage a team of Supply and Production Planners who schedule blending and packaged production orders, manage replenishment of raw materials, and facilitate the management of outbound customer orders. This role requires effective remote management of individuals located at our production and blending facilities. Applicant must understand MPS (Master Production Schedule) and CRP (Capacity Requirements Planning) which will guide an effective MRP and S&OP process.

- Develop and implement an efficient production order planning tool and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system.
- Utilize strong SQL skills to extract and analyze data to support planning and decision-making processes.
- Utilize forecasted demand vs actual historical sales to determine best planning method for customer.
- Ensure efficient management of inventory levels, including safety stock, reorder points, and lead times.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimize storage and distribution processes.
- Manage safety stock levels, inventory turns, and challenge minimum order quantities with vendors and internal manufacturing facilities to reduce excess inventory.
- Lead and mentor a team of Supply and Production Planners.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Ensure strong working relationships with facility counterparts and ensure all members of the team are working collaboratively with the direct and indirect teams that they support.
- Oversee the scheduling and management of outbound customer orders.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external customers on delays, lead-time expectations, and production attainment.
- Ensure timely supply of products to internal Distribution centers and branches.
- Collaborate with the branch service network Supply Planning team to meet customer demand.
- Effectively manage and support Supply and Production planners located at our production and blending facilities.
- Identify administrative tasks and streamline processes for off-shore teams.
- Ensure that on-site planning personnel focus on high-value processes and business improvements.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems for effective data management.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices in supply chain management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, with a focus on production planning and inventory management.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with building Excel Production and MRP tools.
- Experience in developing production order planning tools and MRP systems.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of lubricant products and contract packaging is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
