Our team in Stoughton, MA is looking to add seasoned Environmental Lab Technician to their team! The Lab technician is responsible for the testing waste oils, oil/water mixtures, oily solids, and non-hazardous materials to determine facility acceptance or rejection.
This position is based in a Laboratory within a Terminal setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Performs non-routine analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, with the ability to solve minor problems;
- Ensure that analytical data obtained is completely accurate, reliable, precise, representative, and reproducible
- Ensure that the integrity of every sample is maintained throughout the analysis and that the results are valid
- Prepare and analyze media samples for halogens, PCBs, flashpoint, pH, reactivity, and compatibility
- Update and maintain laboratory documents in accordance with Cyn’s facility license and Federal, State, and local regulations
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
- 1+ years’ experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
- Associate's Degree
- Knowledge of oil testing procedures and Gas Chromatography use;
- Previous leadership or senior lab experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge in local, state or federal laboratory testing credentials considered an asset.
- Ability and willingness to work early morning or afternoon schedule.
- Understanding of math, chemistry, and chemical testing is preferred.
