The Insite Health and Safety Rep inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state and federal safety policies and regulations; Oversees ongoing work sites to ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirement along with promoting a positive safety culture; Emergency response, and site remediation while working in all types of weather conditions. Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
Conduct health and safety inspections, audits and interventions, investigate, oversee, and observe safety conditions and manage safety permits and required paperwork;
Manage employee safety training programs and coordination;
JLA’s (job loss analysis), JHA’s (job hazard analysis) and manage safety equipment inspection, testing and supply;
Provide leadership and guidance on Clean Harbors specific processes and expectations;
Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting;
Coach, manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance;
Establish relationships with client safety department;
Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments;
Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues;
Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices; Recommends corrective actions;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of progressively responsible and related experience in an industrial setting;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?
Knowledge of the following is preferred: First Aid, Confined Space and Fall Protection, and DISA standards;
TWIC Card or ability to qualify for TWIC Card a must;
Strong knowledge of regulations.
