Summary:The EMS Operations Lead serves on the management team with a direct reporting relationship to theRegional Manager. The Lead is directly responsibility for the supervision of emergency medicalservices’ operations of their assigned stations to ensure the continued accomplishment of our mission, strategic goals, and EMS culture. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates their assigned EMS stations’ performance individually and within thecontext of the area served; and establishes professional working relationships with various local fire and EMSagencies. Overall responsibility for the entire phase of ambulance response — from out of chute to treatment andtransport of patients to their destination — including clinical care, staffing, service satisfaction, program planning, budget management, and other areas as needed. x
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:• Meets the requirements and as required, fulfills the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the EMS Paramedic Job description• Responsible for the management of assigned stations and the supervisor of assigned personnel• Establish and maintains excellent relationships with local providers, fire, police• Serves as the “face” of CEMS at the local level• Develops and maintains relationships with physicians and hospitals in their county• Reports informal information/complaints that may lead to growth/expansion opportunities• Has a basic understanding of the cost implications of maintaining equipment, appropriate levels of• inventory, and preventive maintenance practices• Assures staff is submitting completed and accurate ePCR within the target time period• Ensure staffing for PR events, with zero to minimal impact on 911 response times• Provides problem identification and resolution on compliance issues, certifications currency, completion• of employee evaluations• Provides an immediate notification while completing a formal report any transport incident including• operational, equipment, vehicle, or clinical• Seek field staff input for strategic planning process and provide it to the Regional Manager• Exemplifies standards of excellence to include professionalism, clinical, and integrity. Serves as• a role model and mentor for such standards through their appearance, demeanor, and behavior• Assures that vehicles are clean, in working order and operated in a safe, professional manner and in• accordance with our policies for response and transport• Supervise assigned personnel, stations, and areas within the context of the assigned stations and• personnel• Advances self professionally and mentors assigned staff’s professional development and growth• Participates in gathering information and reporting it for field investigations conducted by regional• managers• Serves as a EMS ambassador to the community• Serves as a patient advocate, assuring professional resolution of patient concerns/complaints• Provides response to incidents to oversee performance, provides prompt and direct information to Regional Managers as to staff’s positive or negative performance issues. • Complies with responsibility to report any positive or negative personnel issue to the Regional Managers• Is fair, objective, and consistent in evaluating and reporting staff performance to include coaching, and as directed, disciplinary measures. • Upholds a zero tolerance with regard to engaging in rumors, gossip, or other negative communication of personnel, patients, and others• Provide ongoing review and recommendations of policies and procedures• Provide input and ongoing review of equipment, vehicles, and supplies• Performs other duties as assigned. x
Requirements:
• 3 Years of EMS experience as Paramedic
