$1,400 /Weekly Gross
$12.00 /Hour

Duties:The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders; serves actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization and program philosophy of care; ensuring the safety and well-being of each patient.
Provides complex vocational nursing work. Work involves providing for the care, treatment, and general welfare of patients. May supervise the work of others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, and performs Nursing duties within the assigned areas and assigned shift. Performs basic and complex nursing tasks to fulfill the health needs of the most medically fragile individuals, including the collection of lab work and other health screenings. Keeps informed of and follows all agency, facility and unit policies and procedures. Assists the RN Supervisor with on-the-job Nursing instruction and training of other new LVN's. Assists the Infection Control nurse by implementing measures that prevent the spread of disease, assists the QA Nurse in developing and implementing quality assurance programs, and assists in the implementation of therapeutic nursing programs.
Skills:1 year, but preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse
Education: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and a valid State LPN License.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.
Ability to work with other personnel and develop/maintain good relationsDemonstrate thorough knowledge of care and current clinical practice, treatments, and interventions, specific to position specialtyAbility to understand and monitor applicable regulations, policies, and proceduresPromote patient's independence by establishing patient care goalsResolve patient’s problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategiesMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulationsAbility to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticismAbility to deal tactfully with residents, students, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public, according to position settingAbility to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidentialDemonstrate proficiency in written/verbal skills in the English languageSufficient computer skills required to perform duties
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE LPN JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Each candidate must have at least two years’ experience in nursing in an acute or long-term care settingEach candidate will work a rotating scheduleand be asked to work three weekends a month and have 2 days off during the week dependent upon scheduling.Each candidate will need to have an American Heart Association CPR Card6-12 months of recent (within the last year) supervised experience in Long Term Care/Nursing Home settingLicensed Practical Nursing degree from an accredited institutionCurrent CPR/BLS certification, Physical, TB test (within 1 year of hire)Current Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN license in the state of employment or compact (multi-state) license
