Registered Nurse - RN - Developmental Disabilities

CareerStaff Unlimited is looking for a talented, compassionate Registered Nurse for a full-time 6-month contract in Gainesville, Florida! The successful candidate will be working at the oldest and largest community for Floridians with developmental disabilities, which is dedicated to providing residents with opportunities and services that respect and encourage their personal choices, enhance their quality of life, and maximize their individual potential. This job is ideal for candidates seeking consistency in their work schedules! Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of RN experience, excel in a fast-paced environment, possess strong critical thinking skills, and have excellent communication skills. Travel Contract

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250

40 hours/week

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Provide nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities
2. Assess patient health status, including vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
3. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
4. Promote patient independence by establishing care goals
5. Resolve patient’s problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
6. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations
7. Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
8. Ability to deal tactfully with residents, students, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public, according to position setting
9. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential

REGISTERED NURSE - RN - JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. 1 year of recent RN experience
2. Current CPR/BLS certification
3. Current RN license in Florida or compact (multi-state) license
4. Must be eligible to work in the United States
