As a Sales Tax Analyst for the Center of Excellence, this position would include the following sales tax related responsibilities.
? Manage or support sales tax audits by interacting with various corporate, field, and vendor personnel to obtain any necessary supporting documentation, including but not limited to exemption certificates, sales invoices, vendor invoices, etc.
? Interact with state or local taxing authorities to resolve tax issues.
? Work directly with third-party service provider to provide tax information needed to prepare returns and resolve filing issues.
? Provide guidance and leadership to other Aramark corporate departments, including accounting, legal, and field operations on tax-related issues and research or updates.
? Update and oversee sales tax rates and decision mappings in compliance software.
? Prepare monthly account reconciliations, journal entries, and other accounting functions.
? Bachelor?s Degree required
? 2+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate environment required.
? Sales tax experience required. Multistate sales tax experience highly preferred.
? Excellent organization and the ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks bringing projects to completion.
? Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and must be capable of working under pressure with a sense of urgency
? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
? Intermediate Excel skills.
? Strong understanding of various systems (such as Oracle and Vertex) or keen ability to quickly learn new systems.
? Willingness to learn.
