Are you a Senior Program Manager interested in having a global impact on how AWS scales expertise? We are building global communities of experts across the AWS technical field to enhance our ability to onboard, develop, enable and scale our worldwide Specialist resources. These Technical Field Communities (TFCs) play a critical role in how we scale technical knowledge to our internal and external customers. We need an experienced Program Manager to drive expert learning efforts across AWS by developing a skills complexity model and leading the strategy for expert engagement in learning events for AWS and our customers across the globe. As the TFC Scaling Lead, you will partner with technical leaders across AWS to define 100-400 skill levels and utilize the TFC mechanism to calibrate them. This includes sourcing how effective and engaging training and readiness programs are managed. You will own the planning and logistics of our program’s yearly learning event called “TFC Summit Week” (2,000+ in-person and 20,000+ virtual attendees). And you will simplify the model for expert engagement in internal learning events and other AWS events like re:Invent and regional summits.The ideal candidate has experience driving learning & development programs for a technical field organization, and exhibits strong program management capabilities with high levels of ambiguity. They are passionate about cloud technology and what it can provide. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of program or project management experience- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience working in technology industry- Experience driving learning & development programs (eg – corporate training or related field)- Working knowledge of cloud computing technology concepts- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Advanced degree in in business, program management, operations, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field- Industry certifications in instructional design or curriculum development- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solution Architect Associate, or equivalent experience working with Enterprise IT concepts- Experience with standard methodologies via industry certification (e.g. PMP, 6 Sigma, ITIL, Agile, OpenGroup, IASA)- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), adult/corporate learning, training practices and certification programs- Experience in a cross-functional and global environment, demonstrating cultural sensitivity, and earning trust from all stakeholdersAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
