LPN – Full Time (Outpatient)Pediatric Developmental/Behavioral Office – Albany, NYWork schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM(Exact time is subject to change, and will be discussed further during interview;Daily scheduling is dependent upon providers, and clinic needs)We have an exciting opportunity for an LPN to join our Pediatric Developmental Behavioral office located at 391 Myrtle Avenue in Albany, NY!The Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics offers care for children with developmental delays and disorders. Specialists conduct diagnostic evaluations, provides medication management, testing, psychotherapy, and behavioral health interventions for children from birth to age 21.Our Autism Specialty Practice provides primary and consultative care to children and young adults with autism.. We are a close-knit team who strive to make each patient experience exceptional. Some of the common conditions/diagnoses we treat include:ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder)AnxietyAutism spectrum disordersBehavioral health disordersDepressionDevelopmental disordersSpeech delaysLearning and cognitive disordersUnder the direction of the clinic physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Supervisor/Manager, and Registered Nurses, the full time LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the daily clinical functions to ensure patients have the most pleasant, personalized experience while in our care.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: • Obtains and accurately records patient’s vital signs, rooming them in a timely manner for providers• Documents components of patient’s history as needed• Prepares daily patient medication lists for each provider• Attends to the prescription refill line throughout the day, returns calls, and tasks any medication renewals that are needed immediately to the providers, within scope of practice• Assists with prior authorizations and scheduling follow-ups if delegated to do so by RN Supervisor or Practice Coordinator • Communicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff• Participates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider (assists with immunizations, etc.)• Maintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stocked and clean • Adheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issues
Minimum Qualifications:• High School diploma or equivalent is required• Current NYS license as a Licensed Practical Nurse is required• Previous experience in a patient care setting preferred• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients and their family members or other employees within the work setting
