RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Approves and disapproves of prospective clients.
- Develops and maintains a current knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations on workers' compensation insurance.
- Prepares loss control requests.
- Performs any special projects assigned by the Underwriting Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Four year college degree (or equivalent in education and experience).
- 3-4 years of insurance experience with a concentration in workers' compensation underwriting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
- Ability to perform rapid turnaround decisions on worker's compensation, risk evaluation and handle a heavy telephone load are critical.
- Making correct decisions is a basic function of this decision.
