WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
- Lead the design and development of the enterprise AI platform architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and integration with existing systems.
- Define and implement governance and compliance frameworks for AI, including data privacy, ethical AI use, and security protocols.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their AI needs and ensure the platform supports diverse AI applications and use cases.
- Collaborate with data scientists and other AI professionals to augment digital transformation efforts by identifying and piloting use cases.
- Play a key role in defining the AI architecture and selecting appropriate technologies from a pool of open-source and commercial offerings.
- Establish standards and best practices for AI development, including tool selection, development methodologies, and deployment strategies.
- Oversee the integration of AI technologies into the platform, including machine learning models, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Ensure the AI platform enables efficient data management, including data ingestion, processing, and analytics.
- Work closely with IT security teams to implement robust security measures, protect sensitive data, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Audit AI tools and practices across data, models, and software engineering, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Facilitate the adoption of the AI platform across the enterprise, providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
- Monitor emerging AI technologies and industry trends to keep the platform innovative and competitive.
- Manage stakeholder communication and provide regular updates on platform development progress, challenges, and strategic direction.
- Work closely with security and risk leaders to foresee and overturn risks, such as training data poisoning, AI model theft and adversarial samples, ensuring ethical AI implementation and restoring trust in AI systems.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level AI platforms or solutions.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning algorithms, data science principles, and their application in business environments.
- Data science and advanced analytics, including knowledge of advanced analytics tools (such as SAS, R, and Python) along with applied mathematics, ML, and Deep Learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow) and ML techniques (such as random forest and neural networks).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and AI services.
- Knowledge of data management, governance, and compliance best practices, especially in relation to AI.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Thought leadership. Be change agents to help the organization adopt an AI-driven mindset. Take a pragmatic approach to the limitations and risks of AI, and project a realistic picture in front of IT executives who provide overall digital thought leadership.
- Collaborative mindset. To ensure that AI platforms deliver both business and technical requirements, seek to collaborate effectively with data scientists, data engineers, data analysts, ML engineers, other architects, business unit leaders and CxOs (technical and nontechnical personnel), and harmonize the relationships among them.
