POSITION SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information• Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department• Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements• Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards• Performs other duties as assigned
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:• Oversee preparation and timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, including extensions and quarterly estimated payments.• Prepare ASC 740 tax provision schedules by legal entity and consolidate supporting documentation.• Research complex tax issues and transactions; formulate opinions for use by senior management.• Supervise and train support staff to enable them to ensure compliance with filing deadlines and other regulatory requirements.• Review supporting work papers for tax filings prepared by support staff.• Gather, review, and draft correspondence to respond to notices and requests from various government entities.• Administer equity program, including stock option grants and exercises, restricted stock award grants and vestings, participant terminations, and update employee account information using E*TRADE platform.• Reconcile equity award activity among the Company’s records, the broker’s records, and the Transfer Agent on an ongoing basis.• Initiate equity grants for new hires and track online grant acceptances.• Prepare monthly reports resulting from exercises, vestings, new grants, and cancellations.• Assist with the annual Equity Compensation Proxy tables.• Assist in maintaining required SOX internal controls for the tax department.• Prepare quarterly reporting schedules used to support financial statement footnotes and disclosures.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 5+ years of tax experience• Master’s degree a plus• CPA license is strongly preferred.• Tax preparation experience (4+ years preferred)• Experience with tax preparation software – preferably Thomson Reuters OneSource.• Strategic Planning, Financial Diagnosis, Tax, Corporate Finance, Analyzing Information, Legal Compliance, Results Driven, Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Skills, Dealing with Complexity and Accounting
