The Opportunity
This position works out of our Liberty, SC location in the Cardiac Rhythm Managementdivision.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
As the Group Lead Header , you’ll have the chance to support the Production Supervisor in ensuring the continuous flow of high quality production through assigned work-cells in accordance with manufacturing obligations. You will act as the lead person in self-directed cells or teams. You will assist in ensuring that high levels of productivity and product quality are consistently maintained, and help coordinate efforts toward their continuous improvement.
Shift information: 1st shift: 5:00am -3:00pm, Monday -Thursday.
What You’ll Work On
Reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for assigning training and leading a small team to assemble Headers in accordance with approved manufacturing and quality inspection procedures
Responsible for monitoring the performance of others, establishing work priorities or schedules, assignment of duties, and follow up with resolution of problems
Will lead, guide, and direct the work of others as the primary non-supervisory lead person; typical team will consist of 7-20 workers
Will work with their team to make sure production goals/metrics are met and will work with Supervisors, Engineers, and managers to resolve line issues and implement improvements
Is responsible for monitoring training documentation to ensure completion and compliance
Must have basic computer skills and be able to email production communications, print out processes, and input data into Excel
Participate in performance assessments by reporting on their skill development and teamwork abilities
Communicates certification, recertification, and training needs by reporting gaps in manufacturing personnel training and knowledge
Will perform monthly line audits to ensure compliance for audit preparedness and to monitor process complaints
Make sure all Header Employees are compliant with their training
Assist with New Employee Orientation and employee onboarding
Host daily production meetings with management, quality, and engineering
Hold small team meetings, encourage and lead 5S, safety, and continuous improvement communications
Coordinate work assignments for team
Create work orders in SAP/FTPC
Productivity metric alignment Solves complex problems requiring extensive interpretation of procedures and practices to provide leadership in evolving projects
Selects methods and practices to solve problems using ingenuity, creativity, and a high degree of independent action and initiative
Assist with interviewing of potential new Header employees
Must be able to assist Maintenance and learn to start up and shut down the production line.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 4 years related experience
Attained certification internally based on Manufacturing Process
Experience with assembly, manufacturing, operating equipment.
Have basic computer skills (e.g. Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel))

The base pay for this position is $15.15 – $30.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
