WHAT YOU'LL DO
A Mechanic II maintains, repairs, and services manufacturing and facility systems.
- Perform skilled maintenance and repair services of manufacturing and facility systems such as mechanical and building systems
- Interpret blueprints and schematics
- Implement methods, practices and techniques of maintaining building and facilities to identify and address recurring problems with machinery, equipment or parts
- Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair
- Adhere to current sanitation and GMP requirements
- Maintain current status on all required training
SHIFT
This position will work on 2nd shift with regular hours of 3:30pm until 12:00am.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years experience as an industrial or commercial Mechanic
- Understanding of mechanical system and mechanical and spatial aptitude
- Good mathematical and writing skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and determine the cause of improper machine operation, and make necessary adjustments and repairs to return to proper operation
- Attention to detail and follow-up
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Diploma
- 2+ years' experience as an industrial or commercial Mechanic
- Two-year mechanical technical degree or equivalent experience
- Welding Certification from area college or trade school
- Predictive Maintenance experience/training
- Seamer Certification via formal Angelus or Pneumatic Scale Seamer School (or equivalent) and demonstrated seamer proficiency
- Backflow Prevention Certification by Michigan Mechanics and Plumbers and Construction Association

The base pay for this position is $20.60 – $41.20 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
