The Opportunity
The Commercial Excellence Specialist role will support the overall Commercial Excellence team for Abbott’s Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Disease business unit. The role will be assisting the overall Commercial team via support and execution of the global Salesforce.com strategy. The strategy is focused on process improvement, regional capability development, and strategic global standardization initiatives. This role will also support & collaborate with the Demand Planning team to establish the integration of Salesforce.com intelligence into the overall S&OP (Sale and Operation Planning) business process & support with Demand Planning process improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Support a comprehensive global gap analysis of Salesforce.com (SFDC) capabilities and deficiencies across all regions.
- Contribute to the design and development of a global standardized framework for SFDC processes via collating regional insights and aiding in strategic decisions.
- Collaborate on the ideation, project planning, execution and roll-out of tailored dashboards & reports to drive meaningful commercial actions (via PowerBi or similar).
- Support best-practice adoption and the change management process through regular regional stakeholder engagement, monitoring, and data analysis.
- Lead root cause analysis for data integrity issues and sources of inefficiencies/time-waste across CRM processes.
- Organize and manage sprint development schedule and release timelines into a Gantt chart or similar and coordinate with necessary teams to keep deliverables on track.
- Define Country/Regional Sales Funnel metrics to drive expanded pipeline.
- Lead Country specific opportunity management with focus on Direct Markets and New Channels.
- Drive differentiation between Ministry of Health Tenders, Flow Business, Distributors and E-Commerce opportunities.
- Support the Demand Planning team with ad hoc process improvement initiatives to drive best practice processes.
- Responsible for in depth reviews of forecast changes and trends, align with regions to identify any risk and opportunities to the latest forecast. Expected to help also with Ad-hoc analysis required to support management in any decision or questions.
- Collect and validate Demand KPI results & root causes for monthly forecast error, support the regions in determining next steps to correct forecast error and improve overall use of Demand KPI’s in S&OP Process.
- Support Global Demand Manager to prepare monthly Demand-to-Supply Handover process including thorough development of Global forecast change commentary, Seasonal readiness preparation and Risks & Opportunities summaries.
- Manage Master Data maintenance and set up of new skus on a monthly basis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Understanding of Salesforce.com Funnel Management, Demand Planning and Forecasting methodology as well as S&OP Process
- Operations and Sales Experience Preferred and/or Understanding of Commercial planning and Supply Chain planning processes and relationship with Demand Planning
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify and concisely communicate the business implications of forecasts and actual results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability to different cultures and communication styles as this role interfaces across countries all over the world.
- Candidate must possess strong Salesforce.com, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills and PowerBI and be able to learn new systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA Preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Training/Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology preferred.
- Second language preferred.

The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 – $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
