Abbott’s income tax provision & reporting team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Manager with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and ever-changing environment. This position requires an understanding of ASC 740 and expertise in financial analysis and modeling.
This position will report to the Tax Director, Income Tax Provision & Reporting and could have responsibility for direct report(s).
What you will Do:
Assist with all aspects of the Company’s quarterly and annual income tax provisions and SEC reporting, in accordance with ASC 740
Collaborate with other members of the Tax department as well as Accounting, Treasury, CFR, CFP&A, Internal Audit and IT
Prepare tax forecasts and models associated with planning/business initiatives and changes in tax legislation
Work closely with the Company’s external auditors to ensure efficient, timely reviews/audits of the quarterly provisions and financial statement disclosures
Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and design of adequate internal controls for income tax provision calculations and financial statement disclosures
Education / Experience You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification welcomed but not required
5+ years of progressive responsibility in a multinational publicly traded corporation or public accounting firm
Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting under ASC 740
Operational experience with tax provision systems, Longview Tax preferred but not required
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and experience with large data sets
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, accounting and communication skills (both oral and written)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
