The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.
The Specialist, Talent Management Operations creates and maintains highly confidential executive meeting materials essential to talent pipeline management activities. Supports talent movement measurement in the organization to help Senior HR Leaders make talent decisions. Responds to requests for talent information, often on an accelerated timeline and evolving requirements to meet senior leaders’ demand. Keeps employees, BHR, and TOC consultants trained in Workday Talent Profile, Reports, and overall, Talent Management Systems.
What You’ll Work On
- Prepare and maintain confidential executive materials and meeting production schedules; plan and execute meeting logistics.
- Prepares and maintains executive Talent Management reports – prepare reports, verifies content, can drive open items to resolution in alignment with set deliverable deadlines.
- Create and maintain Talent Management Reports to help evaluate succession plan depth, talent movement and other key metrics (BHR Talent Movement, Power BI/Search Talent).
- Track all Grade 21+ movements in the organization and update Top 300 role tracking and talent profiles.
- Identify employees who need profile updates and assist with profile completion.
- Deliver Workshop to employees; Deliver Train the Trainer sessions to TOC Consultants and BHR partners.
- Partner with HRTS and peer on process enhancements and associated documentation (FDD, CDD); participate in system testing as required.
- Maintain budget records and process payment related requests. Assist in the preparation of budget related materials and updates. Work with Abbott Procurement on SOW and PO related events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Administration, or related field is preferred. MBA or master’s degree preferred, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of human resource experience, with a minimum of 2 years managing programs/projects.
- Excellent Training and interpersonal skills; able to deliver training sessions to small and big audiences.
- Able to work with sensitive and confidential material and possess good business judgment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting while managing competing priorities.
- Critical skills include: High attention to detail and accuracy (for metrics, reporting and analysis).
- Advanced Excel Skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Power BI and Workday experience is preferred.
- Strong team orientation, and high adaptability.
- Interest in and capacity to test and implement new technologies; technical background not required.

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
