The Opportunity
Our location in Lake County, IL, currently has an opportunity for a Manager Financial Planning and Analysis.
The ANSC Finance manager is the key contact for AN HQ team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all financial planning and analysis requirements at the consolidation level. This role requires effective interaction with multiple Nutrition business units and senior leaders.
Responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis to support Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain (ANSC). Reports to Assistant Controller ANSC and is responsible for managing key deliverables spanning across the organization. Leads the consolidation of Actuals, LBE, OEM forecast for Total AN supply chain. Supports the preparation of executive presentations, executive reporting, and strategic analysis. Provides direct support to a DVP of Strategy and DVP of Global Supply Operations. Leads a team of 3 direct reports.
Key finance leadership position within ANSC reporting to Assistant Controller with the following key responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of the financial planning process for Total Nutrition Supply Chain. Including but not limited to:
- Actuals reporting with Plant production results, coordinating Monthly Management Package, Quarterly LBE/ Confirmation and Annual OEM.
- Perform complex financial analysis, as directed by management, and develop alternative course of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools.
- Prepare and support executive leadership presentations.
- Support ANSC HQ budgets +$50MM of spend.
- Leads the International Sourcing budget of +$30MM which includes which requires partnering cross functionally to develop the forecast and resolve any issues.
- Serves as a dedicated financial support to DVP of Strategy and DVP of Global Supply Operations
- Liaison for various ad-hoc requests between AN Commercial, Operations and Plant finance personnel.
- Leads various process improvements and simplification initiatives across the Supply Chain Organization.
- Coordinate the Annual AN Cost Change reconciliation between Supply Chain & Commercial finance teams
- Leads the annual OH Budget allocations to Product Costs.
- Various Ad hoc financial analysis and preparation of presentations for DVP of Supply Chain and Corporate officer.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Primary Job Function:
- Ensure integrity of financials; maintain sound internal controls.
- Effectively present financial and non-financial information to division and corporate leadership.
- Manage the content, process, and timing of the quarterly rolling LBE and annual OEM including preparation of review presentations and required corporate/Division templates.
- Lead cross-functional teams in formation, evaluation, and assessment of financial planning deliverables and processes. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Lead and develop a team of three by effectively prioritizing and delegating to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Provide coaching and career development opportunities to direct reports.
- Provide financial and strategic insight to Senior Management on key business decisions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, and/or financial auditing CPA and/or MBA preferred
- 10 + years of financial experience with a focus on financial planning and analysis
- Candidate/incumbent should possess:
- Demonstrated initiative, analytical thinking, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate with others concisely and accurately
- Ability to interact with finance and non-finance professionals at all levels
- Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; displays socially and professionally appropriate behavior
- Ability to operate independently with broad scope of responsibility under minimal supervision and under challenging time constraints
- Ability or aptitude to apply in-depth knowledge of financial processes, accounting methodologies and division-specific operations
- Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations, and implement solutions
- Ability or aptitude to utilize computer software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to complete tasks
- Ability or aptitude to manage cross functional projects and work effectively in a team environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strengths in strategic planning, execution of those plans and cross-functional project management
- Prior Supply Chain or Manufacturing Plant experience
- Multi geographical experience also preferred along with large site experiences
- Advanced communication and leadership skills required
- Ability to balance between the strategic perspective and proper attention to detail when a hands-on approach is required
- Wide ranging financial experience, including planning, reporting, and controls

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
