This is an onsite position working out of our Pleasanton, CA site in the Heart Failure division. Leading an active lifestyle is important to the many people we serve. As the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, Heart Failure
you will manage the consolidation of Strategic and Financial Planning processes for total HF. This includes the Rolling Latest Best Estimate (RLBE) process, quarterly confirmation process and month end close activities. This role and the team reporting to it will provide leadership oversight, coordination, and planning, in order to execute the financial planning processes and ensure timeliness, accuracy and integrity of financial information. As the Manager, FP&A you are the link to all the Global and Divisional teams within HF/MDD/Corporate functions.
What You’ll Work On
- Responsible for delivering analytics and business support to enable informed decision making by the executive staff as well as presentation of performance summaries to be shared with senior leaders across the organization.

- Coordinate, consolidate, and develop an Annual Plan, Latest Best Estimate (RLBE) and other financial forecasts for all aspects of HF division.
- Liaison between Division FP&S and various finance teams within HF as well as Medical Devices HQ and Corporate Functions.
- Develop and maintain financial processes capable of meeting Division and Corporate requirements. Responsible for staff development, mentoring, performance management, engagement and recruiting.
- Manage the month-end close process and reporting of monthly financial performance metrics.
- Develop flexible, comprehensive tools and templates to support the consolidation and timely completion of corporate schedules as well as develop system solutions and process improvements that meet the needs of the financial planning and/or reporting requirements.
- Maintain an effective and efficient planning process for the division and functional areas being supported, including the coordination of a planning calendar with key dates and deliverables.
- Proactively develop and present analytics to drive financial and operating excellence across all areas.
- Participates in ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by finance management.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- 7+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- 2+ years of direct management/supervisory experience.
- Experience in performance development/review of staff.
- Financial Planning Experience in either a Commercial, Manufacturing or Corporate background.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong MS office skills and financial systems applications.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree MBA in Accounting or Finance

The base pay for this position is $125,700.00 – $251,500.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
